What are the symptoms of prostate cancer? Are there any tests you can do on your own?

From starman’s google: A need to urinate frequently, especially at night;
Difficulty starting urination or holding back urine;
Weak or interrupted flow of urine;
Painful or burning urination;
Difficulty in having an erection;
Painful ejaculation;
Blood in urine or semen; or
Frequent pain or stiffness in the lower back, hips, or upper thighs.

Any of those symptoms is a test you can do on your own. Doesn’t mean cancer though, means enlarged prostate.

  1. DC Says:

    Frequent urination is a symptom of an enlarged prostate, but you really need to see the doctor, have a PSA blood test and probably a biopsy to be sure.
